Belleville, IL – The 4th Annual Illinois SPEED Week is shaping up to be one of the largest events for 2016 with a world-wide driver presence set to tackle five straight days of racing. All five nights will feature POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series action, paired with both the POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Series and the POWRi/ILLINI Lucas Oil Division II Midget Series. The grueling weeks kicks off on Wednesday, June 8th at the high-banked Belle-Clair Speedway. Thursday, teams will head north to Quincy Raceways, before Friday’s show at Jacksonville Speedway. Saturday, the divisions will invade Macon Speedway and for the fifth and final night, Illinois SPEED Week will conclude at Lincoln Speedway. The five nights of racing will be the ultimate test of endurance for drivers and crews, equipment maintenance, and an excellent display of driver talents. Belleville, IL – Friday, May 13 has been cancelled due to all the rain received over the past week. “There are three inches of standing water on the track and the Belle-Clair Track crew can’t get a piece of equipment onto the racing surface,” said promoter Kenny Brown. “Unfortunately, if we can’t get the track prepared, we can’t race.” Belle-Clair Speedway is closed May 20th for the Belleville Flea Market at the fairgrounds. Effective immediately, Belle-Clair Speedway B-Modified division will no longer be sanctioned by UMP. Drivers will not need a UMP Membership to compete in the B-Modified division. The B-Modified rules are posted on Belle-Clair Speedway’s website and will be the same as Highland Speedway’s B-Modified rules.

Belleville, IL – This Friday, April 15th Belle-Clair Speedway will be hosting the Non-Wing Nationals, featuring BOSS Chassis WAR Non-Wing Sprints, Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micros, and Mod Lites/Dwarfs. This will be the first ever appearance of non-wing sprint cars at the high-banked 1/5th mile oval. After being rained out for their season opener at I-35 Speedway, the April 15th show at Belle-Clair will kick off 2016 for the BOSS Chassis WAR Non-Wing Sprints before the series travels to Saint Francois County Raceway on Saturday. The Speedway Motors POWRi 600cc Outlaw Micro Series will also be in attendance Friday, beginning their 2016 tour, as well. This will be the first of 12 shows the POWRi Micros will run at Belle-Clair Speedway in 2016. The POWRi Micros put on fantastic shows with close-quartered, side-by-side racing. In 2015, Joe B.
