Friday, May 31st UMP vs Lucas Oil MLRA Late Models Paying $3000.00 to WIN, enthusiasm and expectations are high as the Lucas Oil MLRA Late Models are slated to make their inaugural visit to the high banks of Belle-Clair Speedway.   The Lucas Oil Late Models are expected to bring a star-studded field on Friday, May 31st as they go up against some of the best local UMP Late Model drivers in the mid-west.  The event will feature Lucas Oil MLRA Late Models, UMP Kettler & Son’s Late Models, Brian Thompson Roofing Pro-Mods, Belleville Automotive Pure Stocks, Pro 4 and BOSS 600cc Outlaw Micros. The Shamrock 40 UMP Late Models will now serve as the 2019 season opener for the stock cars on Friday, May 17th.  The event will feature UMP Kettler & Son’s Late Models, Modifieds, Brian Thompson Pro-Mods, Belleville Automotive Pure Stocks, Pro 4 and POWRi 600cc Outlaw Micros.  The Shamrock 40 will kick off the season point’s chase for the Champion.   Late Models will pay $2000 to WIN.  For Late Models, there is a $1000 bonus if you WIN both the Belle-Clair Speedway Shamrock 40 and the Highland Speedway Lucky 40. Belleville, IL – Tomorrow’s 28th Annual Arnie Knepper Memorial featuring action from the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League and the POWRi Engler Machine & Tool 600cc Outlaw Micro League has been cancelled due to the continuous rainfall over the past three days. POWRi and Belle-Clair Speedway officials are actively seeking a date for rescheduling. “The rain gauge at the track shows three inches of rain,” commented Brian Thompson of Belle-Clair Speedway. This spring hasn’t been kind to racing in the Midwest.” Saturday’s race at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 and Sunday’s race at Jacksonville Speedway are both still on.
