Heavy rain KO’s Belle-Clair Speedway’s Friday night action!

St. Charles, MO (April 18th, 2019) – Heavy rains early Thursday morning along with steady showers forecast for Thursday night into Friday morning have forced track officials at Belle-Clair Speedway and Tri-City Speedway to cancel the racing action scheduled for Friday, April 19th. Belle-Clair Speedway’s next event will be Friday, April 26th with the Knepper Memorial featuring the POWRi National Midget Series, POWRi 600cc Outlaw Micros and UMP DIRTcar Pro Modifieds. Friday, 4/12 Cancelled

Belleville, IL – Tonight’s Shamrock 40 is cancelled due to the overnight rain on an already overly saturated racing surface and facility grounds.  Coupling the condition of the track and facility grounds with lower than predicted temperatures for race night, officials are forced to cancel for the evening.

Shamrock 40 set for April 19th

The Shamrock 40 at Belle-Clair Speedway will serve as the 2019 season opener on Friday, April 19th.  The event will feature UMP Kettler & Son’s Late Models, Modifieds, Pro-Mods, Belleville Automotive Pure Stocks, Pro 4 and BOSS 600cc Outlaw Micros.  The Shamrock 40 will kick off the season point’s chase for the Champion.  Late Models will pay $1500 to WIN.  For Late Models, there is a $1000 bonus if you WIN both the Belle-Clair Speedway Shamrock 40 and the Highland Speedway Lucky 40. Pro Mod Sanctioning

I want to thank everyone for taking time out of your busy schedule to meet Saturday. I have always trusted Mike and Allied to do the right thing when it comes to the rules for the drivers and tracks they have. After our meeting, it was very clear that the rules are in place but the communication and understanding from everyone is where we need to focus next. I think with clarification to the way the rules are written, it would help the drivers and race tracks understand the intent of the rules. Mike has agreed to sit down with me and try and do that. I am very busy running my own series, but this means a lot to me for the success of Belle-Clair. Once this is done we should hold an open summit at Belle-Clair to explain the rules to everyone.
